Cinnabarin is an antibiotic which can be extracted from Polystiotus cinnabarinus, P. versicolo and Trametes cinnabarinus. Cinnabarin exhibits antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria as well as antiviral activity, making it a potential candidate for infectious disease research[1].
