Piridocaine hydrochloride (Lucaine hydrochloride) is a piperidyl propanol ester of orthoaminobenzoic acid.

Piridocaine presents few complications during the course of anesthesia and in the postoperative period. 30 mg of Piridocaine is the optimal dose used in the reported series for obstetric vaginal deliveries[1].
