2-(Perfluoropropoxy)perfluoropropyl Trifluorovinyl Ether (CAS: 1644-11-7), also known as Perfluoro(5-methyl-3,6-dioxanon-1-ene) or PPVE-2, is a highly fluorinated vinyl ether monomer. This compound is widely used as a comonomer in the copolymerization of specialty fluoropolymers, imparting excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, low surface energy, and superior weatherability.
Application of 2-(Perfluoropropoxy)Perfluoropropyl Trifluorovinyl Ether
High-Performance Fluoropolymer Comonomer. Used as a key perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether (PAVE) comonomer in the production of melt-processable perfluorinated copolymers (e.g., PFA and FEP), enhancing processability, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.
Chemical Processing and Semiconductor Equipment. Imparts superior corrosion resistance and low extractables to fluoropolymers used in pipes, valves, linings, and components for harsh chemical environments and ultra-pure semiconductor manufacturing.
Aerospace and Automotive Coatings. Incorporated into high-performance coatings and seals that withstand extreme temperatures, fuels, and aggressive chemicals in aerospace and automotive applications.
