Description of 2,2-Bis[3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoyloxymethyl]butyl 3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoate
Trimethylolpropane tris(2-methyl-1-aziridinepropionate) (CAS: 64265-57-2), also known as CX-100 or polyfunctional aziridine crosslinker, is a trifunctional aziridine compound. This highly reactive crosslinker rapidly reacts with carboxyl, hydroxyl, and amine groups at ambient or elevated temperatures, significantly improving water, chemical, abrasion, and humidity resistance of coatings, adhesives, and inks.
Application of 2,2-Bis[3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoyloxymethyl]butyl 3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoate
Waterborne Coatings Crosslinker. Widely used in acrylic emulsions and polyurethane dispersions to enhance water, chemical, and solvent resistance of architectural and industrial coatings.
Adhesives and Sealants. Improves adhesion, durability, and resistance to humidity and chemicals in water-based adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and sealants.
Printing Inks. Acts as a crosslinker in waterborne flexographic and gravure inks, boosting abrasion resistance, gloss, and adhesion to various substrates.
Textile and Leather Finishes. Enhances durability, water repellency, and mechanical strength of coatings and finishes on fabrics, nonwovens, and leather products.
Overprint Varnishes and Primers. Improves scuff resistance, block resistance, and overall performance in protective varnishes and primers for packaging and graphic arts.
Storage of 2,2-Bis[3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoyloxymethyl]butyl 3-(2-methylaziridin-1-yl)propanoate
It should be kept in a tightly sealed original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep away from strong acids, bases, oxidizing agents, and moisture to prevent degradation or unwanted reactions. Avoid prolonged exposure to air.
