Cyclosporin is a lipophile cyclic polypeptide compound isolated from the culture medium of certain Hyphomycetes fungi such as Cylindrocarponlucidum and Tolypocladiuminflatum, respectively. In the 1980s, it has been widely used in the world as an immunosuppressant, and is now used in a variety of tissue and organ transplantation to prevent rejection and the treatment of immune diseases. Cyclosporine is a strong immunosuppressant, which can inhibit the reaction of cellular mediators, can reversely inhibit the proliferation of T cells, does not inhibit the formation of blood cells, and does not affect the function of phagocytic cells. Therefore, compared with other inhibitors, it has the advantage of less inducing or aggravating infection. Clinically, it is mainly used for anti-rejection of kidney, liver, heart, lung and bone marrow transplantation. It can be combined with adrenocortical hormone, but not with other immunosuppressants. It is also used for certain autoimmune diseases (such as systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus nephritis, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune hemolytic anemia). It is used in uveitis, severe aplastic anemia, refractory primary thrombocytopenic purpura, psoriasis, etc.
