Lipase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of long-chain triglycerides. Natural lipase is normally present in the stomach and pancreas of humans and other animal species in order to digest fats and lipids.

Lipase is widely used in industrial production.
For example, lipase is used in the food industry for meat degreasing, flour improvement, oil modification, cheese processing, winemaking and sauce processing.
In the feed industry, lipase and other carbohydrate degrading enzymes are combined to form complex enzymes as feed additives, which can effectively improve the utilization rate of feed.
