| Name | N-decanoyl-L-Homoserine lactone |
| Description | N-decanoyl-L-Homoserine lactone (C10-HSL) is an N-acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) produced by Pseudomonas cremoris strain ND07.N-decanoyl-L-homoserine lactone inhibits the growth of primary roots of Arabidopsis thaliana.N-decanoyl-L-homoserine lactone treatment caused a transient and immediate increase in free Ca2+ and reactive oxygen species (ROS) concentrations in the root cytoplasm. N-decanoyl-L-homoserine lactone treatment induced transient and immediate increases in cytoplasmic free Ca2+ and reactive oxygen species (ROS) concentrations in Arabidopsis roots, increased mitogen-activated protein kinase 6 (MPK6) activity, and contributed to the production of nitric oxide (NO). |
| In vitro | N-decanoyl-L-Homoserine lactone (0-75 µM) causes reduced primary root growth and promotes lateral root formation in Arabidopsis.[1]
N-decanoyl-L-Homoserine lactone (0-30µM) can increase the cytosolic Ca2+ concentration in wild-type seedlings.[1]
The bacterial signal N-decanoyl-L-Homoserine lactone stimulates Galactomyces geotrichum spore germination through cross-kingdom interactions.[2] |
