POLY(STYRENESULFONIC ACID-CO-MALEIC ACID), SODIUM SALT NEW

Poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid-co-maleic acid) sodium salt has a strong ability to resist CD4-dependent HIV-1 infection, and also shows good activity against some clinical isolates, including B", B'C and CRF01-AE group subtypes. In addition, poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid-co-maleic acid) sodium salt also has a good anti-infection ability against CD4-independent HIV-1 infection. 

In vitro toxicity experiments on poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid·co-maleic acid) sodium salt found that the compound has very low toxicity. Finally, cell synthesis experiments showed that poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid·co-maleic acid) sodium salt has the effect of inhibiting the fusion process mediated by HIV-1 viral envelope protein gp120. 

Poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid-co-maleic acid) sodium salt is rich in source and low in production cost, and has potential application value as a new anti-HNV-1 drug and microbicide
