Stearoylbenzoylmethane(SBM) is an important auxiliary heat stabilizer for plastics with β-dione structure, it can be combined with a variety of stabilizers, through the synergistic effect between components, can effectively improve the transparency of PVC products, weather resistance, to avoid precipitation and "zinc burning" during processing.

Stearoylbenzoylmethane has good thermal stability, chemical stability and light stability compared with commonly used stabilizers, non-toxic and tasteless, non-polluting products, so it is widely used in food and medical packaging, such as mineral water bottles, oil bottles, transparent sheets and transparent films.

As a co-stabilizer of calcium/zinc hydroxate stabilization system, it is used in the manufacture of mineral water bottles, oil drums, transparent sheets and transparent films.
