Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane

Tris Chinese product name is trimethylolaminomethane; Aminobutanol; Bradyamine; 2-Amino-2 - (hydroxymethyl) - 1,3-propanediol. It is a white crystal or powder. It is soluble in ethanol and water, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate and benzene, insoluble in ether and carbon tetrachloride, corrosive to copper and aluminum, and irritant chemical substances.

Indications: Triaminobutanol is an amino buffer base without sodium. It reacts with H2CO3 in body fluid to reduce H2CO3 and generate HCO32 at the same time. It can absorb hydrogen ions and correct acidemia. It has a strong effect and can penetrate the cell membrane. It is often used in acute metabolic and respiratory acidemia. Buffer characteristics: Tris is a weak base, and its pKa is 8.1 at 25 ℃; According to the buffer theory, the effective buffer range of Tris buffer solution is between pH 7.0 and 9.2. The pH of Tris alkali aqueous solution is about 10.5. Generally, hydrochloric acid is added to adjust the pH value to the desired value to obtain the buffer solution of this pH value.
