名称	13-Methyltetradecanoic acid
描述	13-Methyltetradecanoic acid (13-MTD) is a saturated branched-chain fatty acid with potent anticancer effects. It induces apoptosis in various human cancer cells, such as bladder cancer and T-cell lymphoma. The pro-apoptotic mechanism is primarily mediated through the mitochondrial pathway, involving the down-regulation of Bcl-2 and up-regulation of Bax, which leads to mitochondrial dysfunction, cytochrome c release, and subsequent proteolytic activation of caspases. Additionally, 13-MTD down-regulates AKT phosphorylation and activates the phosphorylation of p38 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK).
体外活性	13-Methyltetradecanoic acid (0–140 μg/mL) 剂量/时间依赖性地抑制膀胱癌细胞 (T24, 5637) 增殖。70 μg/mL 处理可使 sub-G1 期细胞比例从 9.25% 显著增至 85.3%。其机制涉及打破 Bcl-2/Bax 平衡、激活 Caspase、抑制 AKT 并激活 JNK/p38 通路，协同诱导凋亡 [1]。
体内活性	在小鼠异种移植肿瘤模型中(接种 Jurkat 淋巴瘤细胞的 BALB/C 裸鼠)，每日通过口服灌胃给予 70 mg/kg 的 13-Methyltetradecanoic acid，连续 30 天，可显著抑制肿瘤生长。体内研究证实该化合物具有良好的口服抗肿瘤效力，且机制与在体外观察到的 p-AKT 抑制及 Caspase-3 激活一致 [2]。
