ARF1 antibodies are typically generated using recombinant ARF1 protein or synthetic peptides corresponding to conserved regions, with common host species including rabbits and mice. These antibodies enable the detection of ARF1 (~20 kDa) in techniques such as Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Researchers utilize ARF1 antibodies to investigate its involvement in cellular processes like secretion, autophagy, and receptor signaling, as well as its dysregulation in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Specificity is often validated using ARF1-knockout cell lines or siRNA-mediated knockdown.
