Lymphocyte Cytosolic Protein 1 (LCP1), also known as L-Plastin, is a member of the plastin family of actin-binding proteins. It plays a critical role in cytoskeletal reorganization, cell adhesion, and motility by crosslinking actin filaments. LCP1 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, including T cells, B cells, neutrophils, and macrophages, where it regulates immune cell functions such as migration, immune synapse formation, and phagocytosis. Its activity is modulated by calcium-dependent phosphorylation, particularly at serine residues, which influences interactions with cytoskeletal components.

LCP1 antibodies are essential tools for studying immune cell dynamics and related pathologies. In research, these antibodies are used to detect LCP1 expression in immune cells via techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry. Dysregulated LCP1 expression has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation, and cancer metastasis.
