The MTUS1 (Microtubule Associated Tumor Suppressor 1) antibody is a tool used to study the MTUS1 protein, encoded by the *MTUS1* gene, which acts as a tumor suppressor in various cancers. MTUS1 interacts with microtubules and regulates cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. It contains multiple isoforms, including ATIP (Angiotensin II AT2 Receptor-Interacting Protein) family members, which participate in signaling pathways such as ERK and p53. Research shows MTUS1 is frequently downregulated in cancers (e.g., breast, colorectal, lung) due to promoter hypermethylation or deletions, correlating with poor prognosis. Its loss promotes tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis.

MTUS1 antibodies are essential for detecting protein expression levels, localization, and isoform-specific functions in cell lines or tissues. They are used in techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
