The Fibulin-1 (FBLN1) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the Fibulin-1 protein, a member of the extracellular matrix (ECM) glycoprotein family. FBLN1 plays critical roles in cell adhesion, migration, and tissue organization by interacting with ECM components like fibronectin, laminin, and proteoglycans. It exists in multiple isoforms (A-D) generated by alternative splicing, contributing to its functional diversity in developmental processes, wound healing, and disease pathogenesis. Dysregulation of FBLN1 has been implicated in cancer progression, cardiovascular disorders, and connective tissue diseases, making it a focus of biomedical research.
