Pentane is a flammable liquid and a dangerous fire hazard. Pentane can affect you when inhaled and by passingthrough the skin. Contact can irritate and burn the skin and eyes.Inhaling Pentane can irritate the nose and throat. Exposure can cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness,and passing out. lnhaling Pentane can irritate the lungs. Higher exposuresmay cause a build-up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonaryedema), a medical emergency. Prolonged or repeated exposure can cause drying andcracking of the skin with redness and blisters. It may damage the nervous system.
