Exposure can cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness,and passing out. lnhaling Pentane can irritate the lungs. Higher exposuresmay cause a build-up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonaryedema), a medical emergency. Prolonged or repeated exposure can cause drying andcracking of the skin with redness and blisters. It may damage the nervous system.
