Yes. Centella asiatica extract is a relatively safe and reliable cosmetic ingredient, commonly used as a cosmetic conditioner. The Expert Panel on Cosmetic Ingredient Safety has concluded that Centella asiatica extract, Centella asiatica callus culture, Centella asiatica flower/leaf/stem extract, Centella asiatica leaf cell culture extract, Centella asiatica leaf extract, Centella asiatica leaf water, Centella asiatica meristem cell culture, Centella asiatica meristem cell culture extract, and Centella asiatica root extract are safe when used at a maximum concentration of 0.5% in leave-on products (face and neck products [excluding sprays]), provided the formulation is designed to be non-sensitising.
