Is intravenous administration of BPC 157 safe for humans?

Feb 27,2026

Yes. BPC 157 has been reported to possess a favourable safety profile, with no adverse reactions observed in animal trials. Furthermore, toxicological studies failed to identify a lethal dose (LD50) at which 50% of subjects would succumb. Although BPC 157 was included in the FDA's list of prohibited peptide drugs in 2023 due to insufficient data on its safety and efficacy, the FDA's ban on peptide drugs remains unconfirmed. Crucially, BPC-157 is a peptide substance rather than a drug, making it unlikely that large corporations will conduct Phase I clinical trials. Nevertheless, clinical research involving two subjects has reported that BPC-157 infusion produced no measurable effects on biomarkers for cardiac, hepatic, renal, thyroid, or blood glucose levels. Intravenous administration of BPC-157 (at doses up to 20mg) in two healthy adults demonstrated no adverse reactions and was well tolerated. Furthermore, it is rumoured that BPC-157 has been administered intravenously in numerous clinics across the United States for pain relief and the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Physicians prescribing the drug have reported no side effects.
