It decomposes upon melting.Carbohydrazide is used as a component in jet fuels because it produce a large amount of heat when burned. It is also used as rocket fuel and an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, stabilizers and water treatment chemicals. Carbohydrazide may cause an explosion when heating. It is harmful if swallowed. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
