What are the main uses of Tween 80, and what is its HLB value?

Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80) is a nonionic detergent, has an HLB value of 15, within the range of HLB 8–18 for oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifiers. It is used to solubilize proteins and widely used in injectable medications, including certain vaccines. It is also used as emulsifier in food.
