Apr 13,2026
Cinnamaldehyde is an essential oil extracted from the leaves, bark, roots and flowers of the cinnamon plant, which possesses significant biological functions including antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer properties. Research findings indicate that it also exhibits antifungal activity against a variety of fungi, including Candida albicans. Nano-cinnamaldehyde demonstrates excellent antifungal activity against more than 65% of Candida isolates, making it a potential active agent for the treatment of oral candidiasis.
