What are the uses of 3,3',4,4'-Biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride?

3,3',4,4'-Biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA) can be used to prepare nanocomposites. Polyimide was synthesized by reacting BPDA with 1,2-bis(4-aminophenoxy)ethane (BAE) in N, N-dimethylacetamide as the matrix of nanocomposites.
