5-Fluoro-2-methylbenzoic acid is a white to light yellow crystalpowder, it is prepared by reacting 2-bromo-5-fluorotoluene with butyllithium at low temperature (-78℃) and then reacting with dry ice. It causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation.
