What is the onset time of action for avanafil?

Avanafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It begins to take effect within 15 minutes of administration, which is faster than other PDE5 inhibitors such as sildenafil (30–60 minutes) and tadalafil (15–45 minutes). Peak plasma concentration (Tmax) is reached within 30–45 minutes, and the terminal half-life is 3–5 hours. The recommended starting dose is 100 mg, to be taken approximately 15 minutes prior to sexual activity. On-demand use: depending on efficacy and/or tolerability, the dose may be increased to 200 mg (taken approximately 15 minutes prior to sexual activity) or reduced to 50 mg (taken approximately 30 minutes prior to sexual activity).
