What is the uses and synthesis of Vinyl fluoride?

Vinyl fluoride is used primarily in the production of polyvinyl fluoride and other fluoropolymers. It has been synthesized directly from acetylene and hydrogen fluoride under pressure in the absence of catalyst and at ordinary pressures in the vapor phase employing mercuric oxide or mercuric halide catalysts, preferably supported on charcoal.
